Dennis Kassube
Some people just have that “Daniel Boone gene” that most of us didn’t get. Dennis Kassube got two of ‘em. He’s one of those guys you could drop out of a helicopter in the middle of the night, and the next morning he’d have the fish located and be happily catching them, on a lake he’d never seen before.
Kassube lives in the glacial lake country of northeastern South Dakota, where he is lucky to have diverse fisheries as a local playground. Blessed with all types of water holding a wide variety of fish species, he takes full advantage, chasing across the frozen landscape all winter.
‘Experienced’ is a word that describes Kassube, as with all Ice Team pros. In addition to fishing his diverse local area, Dennis travels often throughout the region to broaden his ice fishing horizons– always eventually figuring out what it takes to be successful on new waters. His distinctive approach will help you learn to catch fish, no matter where you live.

Plastics in Ice Fishing

Many ice anglers of today understand that winter’s fish live in water at its clearest. In such conditions, fish tend to locate and choose prey based on visual evidence. That might sound like mumbo-jumbo, but it means that what your bait looks like is more important under the ice than at any other time of year.
It also helps explain why plastics are coming on so strong in ice fishing.
Your Best Ice Season

They’re all important, and in no particular order.
